Trail Description:

Departing from a town center, this trail quickly and easily transitions into the hills, vineyards and hamlets around Weinfelden, following a wine education trail as it passes wineries and wine taverns, before returning to town via fields and orchards.

Tasting along the Trail:

Several wineries along the trail, but check hours, which can be quite limited! Additionally, in the vineyards along the trail, there is a Winesafe (Weinsafe). Access to this safe is by code, which must be purchased at the train station, along with a glass.

Alternative Options:

Biking: The Ostschweizer Wein-Route, a 90-kilometer-long itinerary from Sankt Gallen to Schaffhausen, traversing three Swiss wine regions, passes directly through Weinfelden, at about the halfway point.
